Homemade Tahini Paste


about 2 cups


4 cups roasted sesame seeds

8 T olive oil

high powered blender with a tamper stick (if using a kitchen processor you will need to frequently scrape the sides)


  1. Add both ingredients in a blender and blend until thick liquid . 
  2. Add more oil if needed. 
  3. Store in a closed glass container in a refrigerator for about a month.
  4. Use in this Middle Eastern Tahini Dip or in this Authentic Hummus.
