BarBar Oatmeal with blueberries or chocolate

Prep Notes

If we do add the chocolate it's a naughty breakfast.

Cooking Time

3 minutes

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries (or dark chocolate chips or pieces)
  • optional a handful of raisins
  • 4 tbsp raw coconut oil

  1. Add oats, water and salt to a pot, ideally the previous evening (soaking/fermenting aids digestion)
  2. In the morning bring to boil and simmer until water absorbed, stirring occasionally.
  3. Switch off, add coconut oil*, (raisins, if), and washed blueberries (or chocolate, or both if you wish).
  4. Serve hot for breakfast, or cold later for snack.

*Do not lower or skip the oil, it will help slow down the absorption of carbs and make you feel more full!
